Dr. Úrsula Guillén has dedicated her research career to advancing open values-based communication for parents facing decisions surrounding periviable deliveries. In this talk she will highlight methodological deficiencies in the literature, that preclude adequate certainty of outcomes. She will discuss methods to facilitate shared decision-making and the iterative development of decision aids for periviability counseling.
