Dr. Price will provide a brief overview of examples of evidence-based pediatric psychology practices and offer data regarding the current reach of these services. She will introduce the field of implementation science, offering theoretical and methodological fundamentals of this new and growing field. Dr. Price will then apply these principles of implementation science to pediatric psychology, describing her stepped model of conducting this line of research and reviewing preliminary data from two pediatric populations. Dr. Price will enumerate areas for future research.

Meet the Speaker

Julia Price, PhD

Dr. Julia Price is a research scientist and pediatric psychologist at Nemours Children’s Health System. She earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Temple University and completed American Psychological Association accredited residency and fellowship programs at Nemours/AI duPont Hospital for Children. She is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Price’s program of research applies implementation science principles to pediatric psychology, particularly in type 1 diabetes and pediatric injury. She is dedicated to ensuring that evidence-based psychosocial practices are integrated into standard care for children and families.
