Congrats recent MRDA recipients!

The principal goal of the Mentored Research Development Award (MRDA) is to improve the success rate for grant submissions by junior faculty. The recipients work with their chosen mentor(s) to achieve milestones associated with the preparation of a targeted grant application.

The following recipients are part of the current MRDA cohort:

  • Dr. Diana Corao-Uribe, Nemours Children’s Health
    Project Title: Impact of area deprivation index (ADI) on disease stratification and survival in patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and correlation with epigenetic changes
  • Dr. Amy Sloane, Nemours Children’s Health
    Project Title: Multiplex polymerase chain reaction (PCR) in the diagnosis of neonatal sepsis
  • Dr. Geetika Kennady, Nemours Children’s Health
    Project Title: Reticulocyte hemoglobin content to evaluate the iron status in neonates at high risk for iron deficiency
  • Dr. Miki Ii, Delaware State University 
    Project Title: Development of a novel strategy to treat a motor neuron disease using a C. elegans model
