Call for Mentored Research Development Award LOIs

The Professional Development Core is pleased to announce a new Mentored Research Development Award (MRDA) call through the DE-CTR ACCEL Program. A brief Letter of Intent is due August 20.

The principal goal of the MRDA program is to improve the success of grant submissions from junior faculty. To accomplish this objective, MRDA Scholars will work with their chosen mentor(s) to achieve milestones associated with the preparation of a targeted grant applicaiton.

To assure preparation of a highly-competitive grant submission, MRDA Scholars will take advantage of extensive ACCEL resources. These include grant writing workshops and mentoring support offered through the Professional Development Core (PDC), and free biostatistics and study design consultations with experts from the ACCEL Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Research Design Core (BERD).

We have developed different funding options to provide support for grant preparation efforts (see details in the attached pdf). At the end of the MRDA period, awardees are required to submit a fully-developed grant proposal to one of the approved mechanisms detailed in the Program Announcement.

A brief Letter of Intent (LOI) is due August 20.
