ACCEL Community Research Exchange (CRE) Call for Poster Abstracts
Theme: “Community Based Approaches for Chronic Disease Prevention”
The ACCEL Community Research Exchange (CRE) invites abstract submissions for poster presentations at this year’s conference. The CRE brings together Delaware’s communities with researchers from across the translational spectrum to promote collaboration, learning, and impactful research. This year’s theme focuses on “Community Based Approaches for Chronic Disease Prevention,” highlighting practical, participatory, and evidence-driven strategies to improve health outcomes at the community level.
Abstract Submission Guidelines:
We invite abstracts that align with the theme Community Based Approaches for Chronic Disease Prevention. We encourage abstracts that foster dialogue and collaboration among researchers, clinicians, community organizations, and patients, especially projects that:
- Highlight interventions or programs co-developed with communities.
- Demonstrate innovative research methodologies in community or participatory settings.
- Present evaluation results of community health initiatives.
- Focus on chronic conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, asthma, obesity, cancer prevention, or mental health.
Abstract Submission Details:
Early submissions are encouraged. Submissions will be reviewed by the CRE committee with rolling notification of acceptance. A co-presenter is allowed and encouraged per poster submission.
Due to increased interest and capacity, we are excited to share that the poster abstract submission deadline for the 2025 ACCEL DE-CTR Community Research Exchange has been extended!

Word Count: Abstracts should not exceed 300 words (excluding title/authors/affiliations) Upon notification of acceptance, registration for the conference will be required. A co- presenter per poster is allowed and encouraged to highlight working collaborations.
This call seeks to amplify representation from a wide range of communities and strengthen partnerships that advance chronic disease prevention through meaningful engagement and translational research. All disciplines and sectors involved in improving community health are welcome to contribute.
