Delaware Center for Cognitive Aging Research Luncheon
January 26 @ 11:00 am – 1:00 pm
The Delaware Center for Cognitive Aging Research (DECCAR) will be hosting an informational luncheon to learn about the DECCAR’s new center and share your thoughts and ideas for growing Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD) research at the University of Delaware and other institutions across the state.
Established in early 2022, DECCAR aims to develop infrastructure that supports new research on ADRD in the state of Delaware by providing:
- Support for recruitment of cognitively impaired older adults;
- Training and assistance with cognitive assessments;
- Study design consultations; and,
- Assistance with ADRD grant submissions.
We are interested in engaging with faculty, postdocs, and students that we have an interest in conducting ADRD research to share our vision for the new center and to learn more about the needs of the Delaware research community.
Our long-term goal is to leverage existing strengths in risk factor reduction, disease prevention, and behavioral interventions at the University of Delaware and across the state to elevate the number of ADRD researchers and increase faculty success in obtaining extramural research support.
